DPSD will be on Spring Break - April 1 - 5. Enjoy the week!

Deer Park School District extends our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Joe Feist for his outstanding leadership over the past 17 years. Mr. Feist's dedication and commitment have greatly contributed to the success and growth of our school, and we are immensely grateful for his service.
At the same time, Deer Park High School welcomes and congratulates Mr. Troy Heuett as the new principal of Deer Park High School.
Mr. Heuett joins us with extensive leadership and principal experience, having previously served as an assistant principal right here in Deer Park, as well as fulfilling the role of principal in Cheney prior to joining our team. His proven track record and passion for education make him an excellent fit for our school community.
Mr. Heuett will assume his new role on July 1, 2024.

Kudos to our DPMS and DPHS musicians! Great performances this evening!

Today educators dove deep into discussions about student belonging. DPSD is committed to creating an environment where every student feels seen, valued and heard.

Thank you to ALL of our education support professionals! You play a vital role in the operation of Early Learning and K-12 Education including those who directly support students (ECEAP, paras, bus drivers) to operations support (maintenance, grounds, custodians, cooks). Thank you!

Dear Deer Park Voters,
On behalf of the Deer Park School District, we would like to thank our community for supporting the renewal Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy. While we are grateful the levy passed, the bond did not. We are inviting members of the Deer Park community to provide anonymous feedback on the bond. Please take a moment to answer a few short questions to help us determine the next steps and how we can best address the growth in Deer Park. Your input and voice matters.

Congratulations to Carter Rich. Carter was recognized as Rotary's student of the month for February. Carter enjoys his leadership on Link Crew at the High School. He enjoys math, reading, and golfing with his friends and family. Carter will be captain of the school's golf team this spring. He also works at the Deer Park Golf Course in the summer. Carter has aspirations of earning a master's degree in mathematics in secondary education and becoming a high school teacher. We are hopeful Carter will be able to return to Deer Park and serve our future students! Congratulations, Carter!

Happy President's Day! Reminder: No School Feb. 16 & 19

Early election results show that our Educational Programs and Operations Levy is likely passing, but our Capital Projects Bond might not reach enough votes needed for approval. Levies require 50%+1 voter approval and Bonds need 60% voter approval to pass. We are grateful to our voters and community. While we had hoped to see both measures pass, we know that this is a challenging time for school funding. Special thanks to the Committee to Support Deer Park Schools and their hard work and efforts with communication. The Facilities Advisory Committee and staff will be working on the next steps, and we will share information and updates as soon as they are available. For more information about our levy replacement and bond and what they fund, please see https://www.dpsd.org/page/bond-levy-information.
