This past weekend, the Deer Park Key Club attended the Pacific Northwest District Convention in Seattle, WA, and we are thrilled to share our amazing accomplishments!
Our club was recognized for several outstanding achievements:
- 20% Member Increase – We hit this milestone and are growing stronger than ever!
- Early Bird Patch – Thanks to our members registering early, we earned this recognition for our banner.
- Early DCON Registration – We registered early for the convention, earning ribbons for our badges!
- On-Time Secretary Reports – A special shoutout to our Secretary, Piper Luginbill, who consistently submits reports on time every month! She’s also responsible for so much more behind the scenes.
- Treasurer’s Prestigious Award – Our Treasurer was awarded a prestigious honor for his exceptional service to Key Club. This award is selected by the District 4 officers and governor based on a detailed review of his contributions throughout the year. Out of hundreds of Treasurers in the Pacific Northwest Key Clubs, this recognition speaks volumes about his dedication and service to others.
We are so proud of our entire club for their hard work, commitment, and the positive impact they continue to make in the Deer Park community and beyond.

We are excited to share that the DPHS Band earned a "Superior" rating from all three judges at the Spokane Falls Community College Band Festival! Impressively, their performance would have qualified for a superior rating in the 3A/4A/Private School category as well.
As part of their experience, students had the opportunity to participate in a clinic with Dr. Danh Pham, the Director of Bands at WSU and Music Director of the CDA Symphony. This was a valuable chance for our students to engage with an expert and deepen their musical skills.
Our students showcased an incredible dedication to learning and becoming the best versions of themselves, and they represented Deer Park School District with pride and excellence.
Congratulations to all the band members for their hard work and achievement!

Message from the Deer Park School District Transportation Department, on Friday, March 28, 1:35 pm:
The phones and internet are down at the transportation facility due to an outage in the area. Last-minute transportation requests will not be able to be accommodated.

Congratulations to our National Honor Society Seniors! The National Honor Society recognizes high school students who uphold these four principles or pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These students excel academically by maintaining a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning. They are leaders in their school and community by inspiring their peers through action and promoting positive change. These students often step outside of themselves to see and meet the needs of others. Character is the essence of who we are. By making the commitment to ethical and compassionate decision-making, these students positively impact themselves and all those around them to create a better world.
