Congratulations to Rotary Student of the Month, Camryn Chapman! Camryn serves as the ASB President at Deer Park High School, 3rd-year Volleyball captain, and has participated in Link Crew, DECA, and Key Club. She has also volunteered for the Special Olympics. She values kindness and the friendships she has developed at DPHS and looks forward to increasing school spirit and involvement. Camryn plans to attend Santa Barbara and play beach volleyball next fall and major in radiology.

Progress is being made on the bleacher/pressbox project! We will have bleachers that are safer, ADA compliant, and have additional handrails. Once the bleachers are completed, the pressbox will need to be built and wired. Stay tuned for more updates! DPHS student, Keith Schick was awarded "An Outstanding Young Spokesperson of the Future" award based on his "Patriots Pen" essay. As a part of this award, he won a $100 scholarship sponsored by the VFW. Congratulations Keith!

Teams of educators met this week to begin planning for the year. They focused on setting goals centered on student growth and learning. Teams created a vision for the year, enhanced leadership capacity, make commitments as teams, and planned thoughtful team meetings. Educators continue to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring all students are demonstrating growth and learning. We look forward to a great year!

Demolition on the varsity softball field has started! The softball field is estimated to be completed this spring with playability spring of 2026. This project along with the bleachers/pressbox is part of the overall & longer term vision of our athletics complex. These projects are made possible by our school board's ability to demonstrate financial responsibility.

Deer Park School District joins Clayton Brickyard Days!
First Day of School (K-12): August 28, 2024
DPSD will provide basic school supplies again this year for students K-8. Many thanks to our community for their continued support! The levy funds help ensure all students have basic school supplies for the start of school. Students are asked to bring a backpack and lunchbox on the first day of school.
Deer Park School District celebrates Settler's Day! We love our community!
The DPHS bleachers/pressbox project is under construction. It is due to be completed by early October 2024. This is phase 1 of 3 of the athletics complex vision and part of the larger capital projects vision for the district. Also in progress is the demolition in preparation for the varsity softball field. More information coming soon!
Many thanks to our maintenance and custodial staff who work throughout the summer (and in the VERY HOT weather) to ensure our buildings are ready for fall and our grounds are maintained!
