Vision:

Our Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC) envisions a future where Deer Park's buildings and grounds are safe, secure but also long-lasting, and sustainable, providing an inspiring environment for learning and growth. We are committed to ensuring that every facility is prepared to meet the needs of the next generation, fostering excellence in education and innovation.

Our Facilities Advisory Committee is comprised of Deer Park community members (community members, parents, staff, board members, etc.). The committee aims to analyze the district's needs and provide recommendations to the school board on longer-term planning for our facilities (buildings and grounds). This includes repairs, improvements, and predictions for the future physical needs of our students, staff, and community.

Greatest Capital Projects Priorities (future bond or capital levy)

  • Purchase the land east of the elementary school & road infrastructure (per agreement with the City of Deer Park)

  • Transportation Facility (nearly 100 years old)

  • New elementary school

  • DPHS Track & Field (track expansion + turf field)

  • Security/camera system for the entire district

Prior Bond Measure

  • February 2024 Bond Campaign ($60 million)

    • New elementary school, construction of a transportation facility, renovation of Arcadia for Home Link, and renovation/modernization of the middle school.

Deer Park is special in the way that we are a small community and to be a part of the FAC is simply a matter of volunteering and attending our meetings. Keep an eye out for future meetings and if you have questions, concerns or want more information please don't hesitate to reach out.
