When it comes to post-secondary education options, there are so many things students and their families have to consider – location, what programs and majors are offered, and, of course, how much it will all cost (just to name a few). This can all be really overwhelming.
However, just like with anything in life, the more information you have, the more informed decision you'll be able to make. If you’re a student or a parent overwhelmed by the costs of college or confused by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), STCU would like to provide a little support! Trained staff members and volunteers will help you complete and submit the application to secure the financial aid you’re eligible for.
In November, STCU’s Spokane Valley Branch hosted two FAFSA Assistance events. These events were after hours, and during them, STCU staff supported many families with completing the FAFSA form. In the coming weeks, STCU plans to host a few more of these events, as a continuation of our plan to open our branches for assistance in FAFSA completion.
Two of these FAFSA Completion events are at locations more convenient to Deer Park families:
- Thursday, January 19 :
- Time: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Location: STCU Northtown Square Branch / 4747 N. Division St., Suite 105 / Spokane, WA 99207
- Tuesday, February 7:
- Time: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Location: STCU North Spokane Branch / 207 E. Hastings Road / Spokane, WA 99218
Additional information (including what you'll need to bring) is available on STCU's website. STCU has been a huge supporter of schools throughout Spokane and the surrounding region and we appreciate their efforts to support our students and families.
